Approach your symptoms as if they are dream symbols. We will begin with physical symptoms related to grief such as sinusitis, postnasal drip and bronchitis. Food cravings will also be tapped on to facilitate weight loss.  Autoimmune and symbolic pain conditions such as MS, ALS, interstitial cystitis, chronic urticaria and frozen shoulder will be addressed as somatic metaphors for healing.

This October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month do yourself a favor and start keeping a dream diary as it may save your life. That was the experience of the 18 women in my breast cancer dreams research project which was published in Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing in 2015. They had dreams warning about breast cancer prior to any symptoms or tests, and all are alive years later after having their cancers diagnosed and treated. The results of my breast cancer warning dreams research are highlighted in my recent TEDxRaleigh talk along with a case of uterine cancer where a clarifying dream was required to determine the meaning of the initial dream. Stories about Colon Cancer Warning Dreams are featured in the July 2016 Let Magic Happen newsletter.  The take home messages are to keep a dream diary, share the dreams with your doctor, and take the warnings seriously. The annual Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) meeting described in the January 2015 Let Magic Happen newsletter is a great place to connect with other holistic practitioners from a diverse range of professional specialties including psychology, counseling, social work, medicine, nursing, physical therapy, chiropractic and Chinese medicine as well as lay energy medicine practitioners. The major teaching tool of our evolution has been the continuing experience of challenging relationships to which we have been drawn in spite of repeated failures in the past. The most important seven words in that process are not, “I love you,” “I love you, too,” but, “May I give you some feedback?” “Yes.” I learned the Relationship Feedback Technique during The Legacy Center Leadership Program described in the November 2014 Let Magic Happen newsletter. The approach is demonstrated in the 6 minute video below.
