VISUALIZE the Bright Future of Your Dreams with EFT

You can VISUALIZE the future that you really want while tapping it in with EFT. By using only positive reminder phrases you can hypnotically program these suggestions for success into your energy system.  The intention for this blog is to outline the steps for you to Let Magic Happen in your life this year.  The blog is coordinated with the monthly newsletter which features a different clinical topic each month.

Monthly blogs entries include a short video detailing the process involved in each sequential step of the EDANVIR tapping protocol which can be found on the EFT tapping handout. This protocol is the same one I use with clients in my private practice.  After the EFT steps there will be additional breathwork, shaking, imagery and color reframing components.

The fifth step in the EDANVIR protocol is “V” for VISUALIZE your tapping issue as demonstrated on the video and detailed here. We moved last month from the AWFULIZE third step to the NEUTRALIZE fourth step by alternating negative and positive reminder phrases, beginning with “a terrible emotional trauma from the past” as a generic example. This month we will use only positive phrases while tapping on the same points.

You no longer say the original reminder phrase, having tapped away the negative charge on it during the previous steps. Your intention now shifts to focus on the outcome that you really want to see happen.  The approach becomes a self-hypnotic tapping trance filled with positive suggestions.  Feel free to dream big and stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone.  Notice how you respond, and you may discover other issues to tap on.

This step is a good opportunity to test affirmations that you can use in the future to keep you focused on your goals.  You may discover “tail-enders” still attached to your affirmations as described in the January Blog.  Once you have identified this residual negative self-talk, simply insert it as a reminder phrase into your next round of EFT.  You will know you are on the path to your goal when you feel energized from saying your affirmations.

Switch hands and sides of the face from step four and start with the right Eyebrow point tapping on a new positive phrase, “I have emotional freedom now.”  Move to the Side of Eye point and continue the positive, “I like this positive feeling.”  Move to the Under Eye point and consider the possibilities, “I can achieve my goals”  Move to the Under Nose point and express relief, “I’m glad the tapping is working.”

Move to the Chin point and generalize about EFT, “I can use tapping for all my issues.”  Move to the Collarbone point and express happiness, “This process is fun.”  Move to the Under Arm point and note security, “I feel safe now.”  Move to the Under Breast point and acknowledge a breakthrough, “Magic is happening.” Move to the Top of Head point and anticipate success, “The future is so bright, you’ve got to wear shades.”

Take a deep breath in and imagine inhaling your favorite color throughout your body.  Exhale and blow out a different color that represents the issue you were tapping on. Repeat the color breathing as many times as needed to replace all the color in your body.  Allow the negative energy to drain into the ground through your feet to be recycled by the earth.

Now you are done with the VISUALIZE step, and you are ready to go on to the next step which will be “I” for INTERNALIZE in July.  In the meantime, you can start using the whole protocol ahead of time by downloading the handout from the link under Integrative Medicine.  The May 2011 newsletter covers Healing Techniques for Relief From Phobias.

All of the steps in the EDANVIR protocol and the clinical topics will be included in the new book I am writing, Let Magic Happen: Synchronicities, Healing Stories and Techniques of a Holistic Radiologist, to be published later in 2011.  There will also be many other topics and techniques in the book that will not be covered in the blog or newsletter.  I am planning a sequel based on readers’ experiences with the techniques, so please let me know how they work for you.
